Drink your tea slowly and reverently,
as if it is the axis
on which the world earth revolves
– slowly, evenly, without
rushing toward the future;
Live the actual moment.

This man has taught me a lot about the true art of meditation, finding peace within oneself, and the life of a poet.
“I, myself, am a poet but I love working in the garden growing vegetables... I know very well that if I do not grow lettuce, I cannot write poems. The two are interrelated. Eating breakfast mindfully, washing the dishes, and growing lettuce in mindfulness are essential for me to be able to write poetry well.
